Edward football academy of Okitipupa yesterday defeated Premier FC 5-4 on penalties to win the novelty match organized by national union of Ikale students
The match played at Premier College Irele saw both halves ended on stalemate.
Premier FC who dominated match proceedings couldn't break the deadlock.
As a winner must emerge, penalty lotteries were adopted to decide the winner.
Edward Academy came out victorious after successfully converted all its five penalties while Premier FC could only convert four of its five Penalties.
Earlier in his address, NUIKAS president Comrade Akingbehin Daniel appreciated all Ikale obas and other stakeholders for supporting the reinvigorating NUIKAS.
He also appreciated all NUIKAS backers and supporters especially the financial supporters.
He equally thanked his executive members for their unflinching supports.
