Manuwa Memorial Grammar School was founded in 1954, The Prestigious citadel of learning was being envied by her contemporaries in those days as the School had beautiful and well equipped classrooms,ran an efficient and safe boarding system,Staff quarters were built and given as accommodation to staff especially for corps members.
Sixty years after its creation, Most of the edifices that made Manuwa a shining light in those days have decayed, Some have fallen or been dilapidated and the school became an eyesore.
As the proverbial a stitch in the nine saves time, The alumni of this great institution took the bull by the horns by starting various intervention programs in order for this noble school to regain her place in the comity of Schools.
OLD STUDENT'S INTERVENTION
Some of the intervention programs by the Alumni are as follows:
1,General Olu Bajowa built a Well furnished and equipped Library for the School.
5. Six blocks of classrooms were renovated and equipped by Mr Bamidele Omosehin in preparation for 2022 AIONIAN Festival
17 Chief(Mrs) Gbemi Onasanya Gave Scholarship to former head Girl
18. Ademusire's family instituted Scholarship Scheme for the Students.

THE PRINCIPAL SPEAKS
Mr Taye Akinkoye is the current principal of the School,He has this to say;
In 2018,1969/73 set constructed the Principal office Complex which had given birth to many laudable projects in the school.
l want to sincerely say that the old students have transformed the school but like Oliver twist,We would keep asking for more,We want to revive the boarding system and renovate the staff quarters.
CALLS ON GOVERNMENT AND ALUMNI
Inspite of the Giant strides being undertaken by the Alumni,The School still needs some attentions.
The Male hostel blocks have fallen while its female counterparts are in the state of disrepair.
The staff quarters are now being occupied by shrubs and reptiles.
The School dinning needs to be renovated
We call on Government and well meaning Alumni of this great school to extend hands of giving to the school so the boarding system could be revived and other dilapidated and rickety buildings in the school could also be re-built.
